Tree of Life Christian Schools Youth Ministry team to Costa Rica

Going on any mission trip is with a bunch of teenagers is scary. Taking 15 kids to a foreign country is even more intense! But when they are Tree of Life kids, it is truly a blessing. We witnessed firsthand and experienced the results of the work that parents and teachers have poured into these kids over the years. These young people were doing Bible studies on their own and were ready to adapt to any and all challenges thrown at them. From flights unexpectedly returning midway to the destination and last-minute hotel arrangements to meeting total strangers, sharing their testimonies, and even preaching a Sunday sermon to adults, God’s presence and love in and through them was evident to everyone they met. His love toward them, as God’s ambassadors, overflowed to the people they encountered. It was a joy and a pleasure to be part of their experience of God in a different culture and language and to see each one as an active participant in His Kingdom here and now!
